Unique Pt nanodendrites with controlled size were prepared by a rapid radiolysis route. The Pt nanodendrites display drastically enhanced electrochemical catalytic performances toward methanol oxidation. They exhibit a better CO tolerance for methanol oxidation compared with commercial catalysts and other nanodendritic Pt-based catalysts.
