Abstract
⺠We found that there is an evident consumption difference among urban families. ⺠Inequality worsened the condition of the families that suffered the uncertainty. ⺠The vulnerable family was not able to smooth their non-durables consumption. ⺠Reducing uncertainty and socio-economic status inequality can improve social welfare.
