Abstract
⺠We examine the factors affecting quality choice for several food categories. ⺠Data source is the 2004/05 Greek Household Budget Survey. ⺠We employ Heckman's two-step model. ⺠Food expenditure (proxy for income) is found to be the most influential variable. ⺠Other driving factors are household's age structure and head's demographics.
