Abstract
⺠Life expectancy in Turkey is related to social, economical and environmental factors. ⺠Bounds cointegration approach is employed to compute the long-run elasticities of longevity. ⺠Nutrition, food availability and health spending have positive impacts on positive longevity. ⺠Smoking seems to be the main cause for mortality.
