Abstract
⺠We survey empirical literature on the effects of worker remittances on growth. ⺠A stronger emphasis on the time dimension produces more positive effects. ⺠We add estimations to the multiple-equation literature considering poor countries. ⺠Direct and indirect effects of remittances and emigration on growth are shown. ⺠System simulations show that remittances and migration enhance growth.
