Abstract
⺠This paper studies the Feldstein-Horioka puzzle in African countries. ⺠We use the recently developed panel cointegration techniques. ⺠Our results suggest that capital is relatively mobile in African countries. ⺠We also show that there are marked differences in savings retention coefficients. ⺠These results have some policy implications.
