For the first time, Ti/Ce metal-to-metal charger-transfer (MMCT) moieties were covalently assembled onto the surface of graphene oxide (GO). The hybrid component material of Ti/Ce–GO exhibited the enhanced absorption in visible light with a tail extending up to 800 nm, also much higher photocatalytic activity in the degradation of Rhodamine B under the irradiation of visible light.
