Abstract
⺠National average IQ is a robust predictor of total factor productivity growth. ⺠I find a “twin peaks” result of long-run productivity divergence across countries. ⺠After controlling for IQ, few growth variables are statistically significant. ⺠National IQ far outperforms education as a predictor of long-run productivity growth.
