Abstract
⺠Since the early 1990s, the financial repression revenue declined significantly in the upper, middle and low income developing countries. ⺠Financial openness has a negative association with the financial repression revenue. ⺠The evidence highlights fiscal challenges of proper fiscal restructuring and tax policies in the era of commercial financial and trade integration.
