Abstract
⺠Characterization of the unique mixed equilibrium of the unidirectional Hotelling-Downs model. ⺠Existence and uniqueness of the equilibrium is guaranteed for any distribution of the consumers. ⺠Identification of mixed equilibria for a more competitive variation of the problem.
