Abstract
⺠Resource shares are parameters of collective household models that determine individual well-being. ⺠If resource shares do not depend on expenditure, then they may be identified from behaviour. ⺠We use an Italian dataset to show that children's resource shares don't depend on household expenditure. ⺠Identification of resource shares on the basis of this restriction may thus be valid.
