Abstract
⺠We examine the effect of defaults on choice behavior in experience-based decisions. ⺠We designed and ran the “radio-button” experimental paradigm. ⺠We compare behavior in the “clicking” and “radio-button” experimental paradigms. ⺠Self-set default options share the basic properties of decisions from experience. ⺠The introduction of defaults reduces the tendency to prefer the status quo.
