Abstract
► We examine the effect of defaults on choice behavior in experience-based decisions. ► We designed and ran the “radio-button” experimental paradigm. ► We compare behavior in the “clicking” and “radio-button” experimental paradigms. ► Self-set default options share the basic properties of decisions from experience. ► The introduction of defaults reduces the tendency to prefer the status quo.
