A new test for monopoly with limited cost data

► I introduce a market structure test that needs limited, if any, cost data. ► The test compares estimates when demand is estimated alone and jointly with cost. ► The test for monopoly has power when inside-outside segmentation is substantial. ► Monte Carlo simulations show that test can reject monopoly with competing duopoly data.
