Abstract
► Assuming a general education cost function, we modify the Maoz and Moav (1999) model. ► We examine the dynamics of income inequality and intergenerational mobility. ► The dynamics depends crucially on the share of education cost in income. ► The effects of technological changes on inequality depend on the share of education.
