Abstract
⺠We examine gender differences in salience. ⺠Experimental data show that men and women respond differently to salience. ⺠Cognitive and non-cognitive skills do not explain gender differences in salience. ⺠Men are more likely to switch from certain to risky choice once upside of winning is made salient.
