Abstract
⺠We study the Turkish wage curve using novel and rich individual level data. ⺠Endogeneity of current unemployment rates is instrumented with lagged unemployment. ⺠With IV estimation, unemployment elasticity of real wages is â0.099. ⺠We get a higher wage elasticity for younger, less educated and less experienced individuals. ⺠Female wages are more responsive to unemployment rates than their male counterparts.
