Abstract
► We study the Turkish wage curve using novel and rich individual level data. ► Endogeneity of current unemployment rates is instrumented with lagged unemployment. ► With IV estimation, unemployment elasticity of real wages is −0.099. ► We get a higher wage elasticity for younger, less educated and less experienced individuals. ► Female wages are more responsive to unemployment rates than their male counterparts.
