Abstract
⺠Several factors suggest that parental education affects the experience-earnings profile. ⺠Our empirical analysis of US data suggests that this is indeed the case. ⺠Higher parental education shifts the profile significantly to the left. ⺠Other things equal, individuals with better-educated parents enjoy faster rising wages.
