Abstract
⺠TFacts and figures of political violence in Western Europe are produced in the period 1994-2007. ⺠The emergence of terrorism is negatively associated with current economic opportunities. ⺠Expected future economic growth seems to be associated with an increase in current terrorist activities. ⺠Results show that terrorist brutality is positively associated with real GDP per capita.
