Abstract
â¢The study examines the Eurozone network connectedness before and after 2008.â¢The study considers both financial and non-financial entities as network nodes.â¢After 2008, the Eurozone network was less dense than in prior periods.â¢Network topology can predict the effects of bad events in different contexts.
This study shows that the density relationships (connectedness) among both financial and non-financial entities listed in the Eurozone were reduced after the 2008 fiscal year, when the recent financial crisis exacerbated its effects.
