Abstract
⺠We study reputation effects in repeated games with contracts. ⺠We assume that different behavioral types are not immediately distinguishable. ⺠For any prior over behavioral types, a folk theorem holds for some modified prior. ⺠Thus, whether reputation effects emerge depends on details of the prior.
