Abstract
⺠We study a model of war with incomplete information about resources. ⺠Each country simultaneously allocates its resources between production and warfare. ⺠The country with the stronger military wins and receives aggregate production. ⺠Equilibrium depends on expectations as well as comparative and absolute advantages. ⺠Our model has further desirable features that are absent in standard models of war.
