Abstract
► We study a model of war with incomplete information about resources. ► Each country simultaneously allocates its resources between production and warfare. ► The country with the stronger military wins and receives aggregate production. ► Equilibrium depends on expectations as well as comparative and absolute advantages. ► Our model has further desirable features that are absent in standard models of war.
