Abstract
► I analyze a set of influential texts on climate-induced migration. ► I employ poststructuralist discourse theory and political ecology. ► I highlight how competing discourses converge onto apocalyptic narratives. ► Such convergence, centered on 'climate refugees', facilitates depoliticization. ► I argue that such narratives are detrimental to radical/emancipatory climate politics.
