Abstract
⺠Wetland commodification can be understood as a process of social spatialization. ⺠Spatializing performances occur on-site during swamp tours in the Atchafalaya Basin. ⺠Guides commodify the swamp for tourism. ⺠Tourism is seen as resisting historically dominant types of swamp development.
