Abstract
⺠The study conceptualises labour agency in global production networks (GPNs). ⺠Labour agency includes everyday, informal and individual forms of workers' actions. ⺠Labour agency helps to shape the industry and the production network. ⺠Labour agency has significant impacts on workers' livelihoods and social relations. ⺠Labour's multiple forms of agency are illustrated with a South Indian case study.
