Abstract
⺠Much work on pro-environmental behaviour pursues either episteme or techne. ⺠Phronesis, which recognises context, values and power, has been neglected. ⺠Flyvbjerg (2001) offers a way to develop social science as phronesis. ⺠This paper attempts to develops a phronetic approach to pro-environmental behaviour.
