Abstract
⺠The misspecification of competition leads to bias in the estimate of menu costs. ⺠Assuming monopolistic-competition model causes the bias in the duopoly market. ⺠Taking into account dynamic strategic interactions corrects for the bias. ⺠Dynamic strategic interactions help explain the observed degree of price rigidity.
