► Standard media economics models have two properties. ► First, increased platform competition decreases ad levels. ► Second, mergers reduce per-viewer ad prices. ► If viewers attention spans for ads are crowded standard properties may be reversed. ► Alternatively, allowing viewers to multi-home may also reverse standard properties.
