Abstract
⺠Retail pass-through depends critically on the degree of market power. ⺠Market power depends on the rate of commodity price inflation. ⺠Multi-product pass-through rates can exceed 100%. ⺠Concerns that retailers use price expectations to exercise market power have some empirical merit.
