Abstract
⺠For transparency decision we find a trade-off between two kinds of distortion. ⺠Varying or constant wedges play important role in choosing transparency level. ⺠Social welfare does not depend on the level of transparency in some cases. ⺠The opaque regime is welfare superior to the transparent regime in general however.
