Abstract
⺠Macroeconomic relationships between incumbent and potential GCC members are analyzed. ⺠The incumbent and potential members are: Kuwait, Oman and Saudi Arabia; and Jordan. ⺠The focus is on economic growth and inflation within a global framework. ⺠It uses the SVAR model with block exogeneity and identifying restrictions. ⺠The main result indicates that Jordan may not join based on the business cycle.
