Abstract
⺠We examine the effect of foreign direct investment on domestic employment. ⺠We use a unique matched employer-employee dataset of Taiwanese firms. ⺠We find that workers whose firms invest more in China are more likely to leave. ⺠The effect is particularly strong for low-skilled workers.
