Abstract
⺠We document stylized facts on recovery from economic downturns. ⺠Economic downturns include GDP recessions, credit contractions, and stock price declines. ⺠We evaluate the role of macroeconomic policies in promoting recovery, using linear regression and survival analysis. ⺠We compare between 21 OECD economies and 21 developing Asian economies.
