Abstract
► We study the relation between family planning (FP) and women's employment in India. ► We focus on a program of doorstep visits by FP workers to women aged 15-49. ► We estimate models of the probability of female employment with district effects. ► The share of women visited by FP workers positively affects the probability of employment. ► This effect is especially relevant for paid employment.
