Abstract
⺠We introduce a new thinking on credit rating reform. ⺠The approach is predicated on the provision of ratings as a public good. ⺠The credit rating model results from a Wikipedia-style organic development. ⺠Scientific research and credit ratings production are integrated into one operation. ⺠Our alternative can potentially counterbalance the for-profit credit rating agencies.
