Abstract
⺠The value premium is small for investors with a material fixed-income exposure. ⺠The reason is that value stocks offer a poor hedge against bad bond returns. ⺠This result hold especially for investors who are concerned with downside risk. ⺠And, it arises for plausible, medium-term evaluation horizons of around one year.
