Abstract
This paper examines the quality of data used by Bernal-Verdugo, Furceri and Guillaume (2013) to assess what constitutes labour market reforms, and what the implications of such reforms are for unemployment. The paper reports some serious flaws in the data, which render empirical results and policy advice based on them highly questionable.
