Abstract
⺠Capital income increased significantly in urban China from 1988 to 2009. ⺠Compared to wage and other income, capital income was distributed most unequally. ⺠The contribution of capital income to total inequality had been growing. ⺠But it was still small due to the low share of capital income in total income.
