Abstract
⺠We study attitudes toward revising privatization. ⺠We probe whether these views are driven by self interest or legitimacy concerns. ⺠We use a 2006 survey of 28,000 individuals in 28 post-communist countries. ⺠Transition-related hardships and human capital shape support for privatization. ⺠Opposition to privatization should not be equated with support for renationalization.
