Abstract

Cr–V/TiO2/cordierite monolithic catalysts for low-temperature NH3-SCR reactions were prepared by in-situ precipitation and impregnation. The adhesion and surface characteristics were examined using ultrasonic oscillation and scanning electron microscopy, respectively. The results showed that the TiO2 coating adhered well to cordierite by in-situ precipitation. If the loading of the active component, Cr–V, was at least 5.5% by weight, the catalyst achieved excellent SCR activity, with an NOx conversion above 90%, in the temperature range 160–300 °C. The Cr–V/TiO2/cordierite monolithic catalysts had relatively high stability in the presence of SO2.
