Abstract
The carbon oxidation was investigated over copper ion-exchanged MFI zeolite (Cu-MFI) as a function of pretreatment temperature. Cu-MFI pretreated at 700 °C exhibited high activity for carbon oxidation in NO + O2 atmosphere. The activity of Cu-MFI pretreated at 700 °C increased with increasing the amount of copper ion exchanged. XRD and ESR measurements suggest that the CuO fine particles as an active site for carbon oxidation were formed on the surface of MFI zeolite by pretreatment at 700 °C.
