Abstract
Since 2011, international research program Peuplement Humain et Paléoenvironnement en Afrique (dir. Pr. Ã. Huysecom) focus on the Falémé Valley, eastern Senegal. In this area, several lithic industries identified as Early, Middle and Latter Stone Age, are known. This paper introduces the first elements of chronology based on Optically Stimulated Luminescence dating. Obtained dates cover the entire upper Pleistocene, which underline the importance of the Falémé Valley in the study of settlement dynamics and cultural evolution of western African Prehistoric Man.
