Abstract
- Fauna were found in diverse contexts at Kfar HaHoresh, a Neolithic ceremonial site.
- Taphonomic and spatial analyses are used to reconstruct faunal depositional histories.
- Depositional histories vary widely across the site.
- They reveal discrete activities, cleaning and systematic refuse deposition.
- Faunal refuse was repeatedly cleaned from the platform and re-deposited in a midden.
- This supports more organized use of space by the Pre-Pottery Neolithic B period.
