Abstract
The paper represents an analysis of hide polish on bone objects from the following East European Late Upper Paleolithic sites - Byki-1, Byki-7 (layer I), Byki-7 (layer Ia). A limited but similar tool complex with use-wear traces of hide polish was defined at each of the Byki sites. More bone tools with hide polish were found at winter sites and lesser numbers were recognized for summer sites.
