- Left- and right-wing Eurosceptic parties draw different types of supporters.
- Lower educated support the Eurosceptic right, but not the Eurosceptic left.
- Left-wing supporters oppose the current EU, but not further strengthening of the EU.
- Right-wing supporters oppose the current EU as well as further EU strengthening.
- These differences exist both cross-nationally and over the 1989-2014 period.
