Willingness to communicate and its antecedents were investigated through a structural model with the participation of 251 freshmen studying at a state university in Turkey. Quantitative data were analyzed via Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Modeling. According to the results, all hypotheses were accepted which means participantsâ¿¿ attitude toward international community, their motivation to learn English, and their confidence in English communication have direct significant positive effect on their WTC in English. Additionally, participantsâ¿¿ attitude toward international community positively influences their motivation to use and learn English as well. Finally, participantsâ¿¿ personality influences their confidence in English communication.
