Abstract
The goal of this paper is to analyze, using homogenization techniques, the effective behavior of a coupled system of reaction-diffusion equations, arising in the modeling of some biochemical processes contributing to carcinogenesis in living cells. We shall focus here on the carcinogenic effects produced in the human cells by Benzo-[a]-pyrene molecules.
