Abstract
This paper examines different End-of-Life scenarios for production systems and elicits, by conducting a literature survey, which main information is relevant for them. Based on that, a generic model is developed which can be used to extract the End-of-Life relevant information from a digital production system model. This provides a basis for enabling the End-of-Life phase being supported by future software tools. Those could support the decision-making process with respect to lower the ecological impact by retaining the inherent value of the production system as good as possible at the end of life. As a first step for an application, the generic model is mapped to the data model of AutomationML.
