Abstract
RuFeSe/C electrocatalysts for the oxygen-reduction reaction have been synthesized by two different methods: the conventional carbonyl method and a newly developed method using inorganic precursors. The prepared catalysts have been characterized by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and rotating disk electrode techniques. RuFeSe/C synthesized from inorganic precursors exhibits a better performance than RuFeSe/C made by the conventional carbonyl method. The results are analyzed based on the surface morphology, including the particle-size distribution.
