Abstract
Pd/C-catalyzed hydrogenation reactions are found to be highly temperature-dependent. The hydrogenation smoothly proceeds in the temperature range from ambient to the boiling point of the solvents, although the hydrogenation is suppressed at an elevated bath temperature of approximately 30 °C above the boiling point of the solvent under ambient hydrogen pressure.
