Abstract
A polyhydric polymer-functionalized fluorescent probe was designed by coupling 1-pyrenecarboxyaldehyde (Pyr) onto poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) resulting in the PVA-Pyr probes with improved aqueous solubility and strong cyan florescence toward a test strips-based fluorimetry for the rapid and visual detections of Fe3+ ions in environmental water.211
